Pastoral Care
St. Oswald’s is passionate about being a caring community, not only for parishioners in our parish but also for those less well off or needing support in the wider community.
Visits
The Vicar and others in the parish provides our parishioners and others who request it with the following pastoral care services:
- Home visits
- Visits to people in hospitals
- Visiting people in aged care facilities, including Samarinda, Lyndon and other local residential care places
Such visits, including home communions, can be arranged by contact with the Vicar or through the parish email addresses given on this website – see contact details below.
Pastoral Care List
If people would like names of people to be added to the parish pastoral care list or be included in our prayer list and intercessions, please contact the Vicar or contact the parish via email or telephone.
Wider Community Support
In terms of the wider community, St. Oswald’s people support Anglicare at Dixon House in Clayton with three major food collections during the year. Contributions are always welcome.
The parish has also been a traditional supporter of refugees and asylum seekers as well as our Indigenous sisters and brothers. – see the webpage on Murnong First Peoples’ Gathering Place (MFPGP).
